A couple of people have been asking where I am.

I'm taking a bit of a 'time-out' to get down and serious with my novel. I want it finished and ready for sending out into the big bad world by the end of the summer.
So far, so good. I've done some good work on it lately and my word count is on the up.

A random little fact: my 's' key seems to not want to work properly. I have to give it quite a hard little press whenever I use it, which is a bit of a pain if I forget...I've suddenly realised just how many words contained the letter 's'!! My number '6' key is doing it too!!!

Ah, the trials of being a writer....

  1. Woo! Good luck on your deadline. For all the possible reasons of not posting, yours is the best. :-D

I would go get a new keyboard and make your life easier.

  2. Onipar - sadly, it' a laptop, and at the moment I can't afford a new one...just have to keep pressing that 's' a little bit harder!! :D

  3. :-/ Sorry to hear that. It may be possible to plug in an external keyboard via the USB port on the laptop. Never tried it myself, but it may work.

  4. Good luck, Akasha! I'm with you! :-)

  5. You might be able to use a cup tip to clean around your "S" key. But yes, take the time if you need and get that novel work done.

  6. Onipar ~ hadn't thought of that...it might work!

Vesper ~ thanks Vesper. Sometimes writing has to come first. :)

    Charles ~ I think I'll give that a go...it's getting pretty annoying!

  7. Keep at it, Akasha! You can do it!

  8. Alis ~ Here's hoping I can! Thanks for the encouragement...I need it at times!!

  9. All right, we'll give you a little time to finish the novel, but after that, back to blogging! But keep us up to date, will you? Don't disappear like me!

And re that "s" key, good luck! Everytimde I lose a key I try to repair it and end up with my keyboard so messed up I have to buy a new laptop.
