A Good Rejection!

Last month I sent off my short story: Calling 666, to a magazine. It wasn't chosen for publication, but someone had taken the trouble to write this on my rejection slip:
Your writing style is good, as is your command of language. Please send us more of your work.
I had a smile on my face all day!

My novel is rolling along nicely.
My word count is going up up up.......

  1. Akasha, I got a similar rejection about four years ago. And you know what? I didn't follow up on it. That was just plain stupid on my part. I know you won't do the same. Stick with your writing and keep sending out your stuff... And good luck with the novel!

  2. That's definitely promising. Good luck. Glad to hear the novel is progressing.

  3. Tha't really encouraging that they took the time to do that. Forge on!

  4. That's great any little words of encouragement goes along way in our business, doesn't it.

Good luck with the next one, Akasha.

  5. What a wonderful, wonderful compliment, Akasha! Sorry to have been out of touch for so long but I was finishing up my new werewolf novel and... well, you know how it goes!

  6. Nevine ~ I'm already working on another short story to send off.

Charles ~ I only wish my novel was progressing a little bit faster!...but don't we all?

    Alan ~ on I'm forging!

Jarmara ~ we writers are so easy to please, a few kind words and we're anyones! :)

Rick ~ I know exactly how it is. All the best with your vampires!

  7. Hey, you, where have you been?
