  5. Congratulations!!!

I went to youwriteon and read your excerpt. By the way, there is a search box there and I just typed Bathory and I got it.

I must tell you how much I liked it. I found it incredibly suspenseful. The tension was constantly high through-out these fragments. I plan on reading them again so that I can figure out better how you achieve this.

In the first prologue, it was certainly the general setting and the sense of something very evil awakening.

In the second, the danger is palpable, even though the Countess is asleep... it's as if the horror of her past deeds makes her even more powerful. The presence of the child only increases the foreboding.

Finally, while reading Chapter 1, I couldn't stop thinking about "the tall man with the dishevelled mess of white hair" from the prologue... Excellent!!!

    Bravo and best of luck!

  6. Vesper ~ So glad you liked it. I'm getting really positive reviews. The only downside is having to read and review others stories to get mine reviewed in turn. It's quite time consuming and uses up my already limited writing time, but if I leave it for more than a day my rating goes down and I am determined to get Bathory into the top ten! :D
